The P&C-won “Investing in our Schools” grant provides the school with an outstanding level of computer resources

In 2006, Giralang Primary School was awarded a $150,000 “Investing in our Schools” grant from the Federal Government. The grant was used to purchase and install 71 new computers, four interactive whiteboards, (two additional whiteboards were received from the ACT government under the ‘buy two get one free’ scheme), 40 student computer chairs, software and internet licensing and air conditioning for the computer lab. The grant application was researched, written and costed by members of the P&C Association.

This is just one example of the benefit the P&C bring to the school through carefully researching and applying for grants.  We also seek grants to fund our Breakfast Club and large infra-structural items, such as water tanks.
