Giralang School welcomes and highly values open two-way communication.  We believe that communication between parents, staff and children is extremely important in enhancing all aspects of children’s learning and development. 

The school provides a number of formal and informal opportunities for parent/teacher interaction such as information evenings, fortnightly assemblies, learning journeys, curriculum meetings, discussion groups, formal reports,  interviews and fortnightly newsletters.

Also, keep an eye on the school sign at the front of the school, where we advertise special events and meetings.

Class Teacher Communication
Class teachers welcome and appreciate communication with parents.  This can be in person, via a phone call or email.  You can organise an interview at any time throughout the year by contacting your child’s teacher or the Front Office to arrange a suitable time.  It is difficult for teachers to respond adequately to parents during class teaching time.  Please organise an appointment at a mutually convenient time.

Teachers provide a program overview at least once a term.  This outlines details of classroom organisation, units of work currently being studied and any other helpful information regarding the classroom learning program.
