The School Board, P&C and staff expect all children to wear the school uniform.
Students wear a gold polo shirt or gold skivvy with blue sweatshirt, hoody or polar-fleece and blue shorts or trackpants. Girls also have the choice of a blue skirt or skorts or school dress. Many items bear the school logo. These options are on display in the school foyer.
Appropriate uniform should be worn for excursions. Students who arrive at school in unacceptable clothing will be asked to change into a shirt for the remainder of the day. Parents will be contacted if a student persists in wearing inappropriate clothing - for example, baseball caps, t-shirts with inappropriate messages, thongs, leggings.
Ordering Uniforms
Two bulk uniform orders are organised each year by the P&C, one in Term 1 and the other in Term 4.
At other times, uniforms can be ordered from “Personally Yours”, either from their web site www.pyours.biz (enter ‘Giralang’ as the client log in), by phone, web, or by visiting:
Personally Yours
218 Gladstone Street, Fyshwick
Phone 6280 4166
Uniforms can be delivered direct to the school if ordered by internet or phone.
Second-Hand Uniforms raise funds for the school
There is also a second-hand clothing pool organised by the P&C. Items are donated by parents and can be purchased for a gold coin donation to the school. For further details contact the front office.
Label your clothing
You can also help raise funds for the school by purchasing name labels for all clothing from www.mynamelabel.com
Sun Smart – Term 1, 3 and 4
Children will not be able to play outside without a broad brimmed or legionnaire’s hat. In line with current Cancer Council guildelines.
Please ensure that your child has their hat with them each day and that it is clearly labelled. Health issues such as head lice can be reduced dramatically if hats are not borrowed or shared.
Broad brimmed hats can purchased from the front office.
